We are so excited to be posting our first blog for Creative Kids Shenfield on the official website for our nurseries. Since opening in late Autumn we have been very busy setting up all the rooms ready for welcoming all our new children to come and play.  We now have four rooms open here at the nursery, we have Lilac Room, Blue Room, Green Room and in March we opened Rainbow Room North. The children are all happy and settled into their new rooms with their new teachers.

Staff and children have been keeping busy with our Book Topic this month as well as lots of celebration days as well. We kicked the month off with our first pancake day where we decorated our own pancake pictures as well as trying some at tea with our friends. We then celebrated World Book Day where we dressed up as all our favourite characters. Throughout the month we have taking part in making the rooms look wonderful by decorating our display boards full of lovely pictures from stories that we hear from ‘The Three Little Pigs’ to ‘The Hungry Caterpillar’ to ‘We’re going on a Bear Hunt’, our boards are looking full of all their creative designs.

The last few weeks have been exciting as we celebrated St Patricks Day by dressing up Green and decorated shamrocks and on Red Nose Day, we all wore Red and decorated our own red nose day pictures for this. On Friday 25th March we made a special table at the front of the nursery to celebrate all our new nursery Mummies’ ready for Mother’s Day on Sunday and the children have been making surprises for their mummies all week.

The weather is now looking brighter and getting warmer, we are looking forward to going into our new topic of Spring and Easter starting next week (28th March), we already have lots planned for this and can’t wait to get into a new month of fun filled creative activities.
